Hello and welcome to the 6th edition of Top 5 Setups of the Week! Yes we are finally bringing this series back and we have some amazing setups to show you all :)As I said in the first post in this series these setups are not ranked they are just a collection of setups that have been showcased on my Instagram account, which I think are amazing. If you like a specific setup and think that it should be number 1 comment down below. The series shall be updated every Friday at 8:00Pm UK time.I hope that you are enjoying the series so far! Lets kick things off with setup number 5.
This Setup is by @Fredrikroemming , I really like this setup as i do with all the setups that I post on my Instagram account. This one stood out particularly was that there is a lovely view behind it of the snow and wintery conditions outside. It is quite unusual to see a setup placed right in front of a window, usually the window and light source will be off to the side or behind the setup, this could be due to light distracting you form the screen etc. However I think that Frederikroemming has really used the window to his advantage as he has understood that he can use its beauty to make his setup more attractive .One important thing that I think could be a good idea for setups is a distraction such as a window, because we all know that eye strain is very common and is certainly a regular occurrence for me, and being able to look slightly to the left or the right of the screen occasionally may help prevent it happening so much.
This Setup is brought to us by @Mkhlstrn . I really think that he has used the colur scheme of purely black and white to create a wonderful minimal setup. the extra pieces of colour from the marble case, coloured keyboard and pot plant really help to add that all important character to the setup. it helps to make the setup more personal and less like a forced piece of creativness. I aslo loke the fact the this setup isnt very large and is shown i real life circumstances, alot of setups these days have the whole room designed around them whereas with this the room was designed and built and then the setup was integrated into it, and i think that he has made this work really well.
At number 3 this setup is by @Alesnesetril with a beautiful macbook with thunderbolt display setup. Unfortunately mid way through 2016 apple decided to stop selling and manufacturing the Thunderbolt display which is a real shame as we cane see from Alesnesetril’s setup here that they look beautiful and help to create a smooth feel to the work space. One thing that I think we are seeing more in the setup community is the use of macbooks or mac mini’s to create setups, which gives the user a few decisions and personal touches that they can add in. When you by a mac you are given the monitor and hardware all in one, then you are also given the keyboard and mouse to go with it. However with a mac mini for example you are allowed to chose what monitor to go for and which other accessories to use. I think that Alesnesetril has found a balance in keep all of his products apple even though he had the option to expand .

The penultimate setup this week comes from the company @underbelly. This is a beautifully crafted setup and has a really nice aesthetic feel to it. One major thing about this setup that makes it look so good is symmetry. Symmetry can be really important when it comes to a workstation and how to make it look amazing, if done right the setup can look wonderful if no then the setup can look out of place. Underbelly have worked hard here to keep a real sense of symmetry, They have a main monitor in the middle with a Macbook off to the left hand side. To keep it symmetrical they have filled in the left hand side with some other objects, you might also notice that they have kept the walls symmetrical by having the same amount of pictures and mirroring each other. Overall I really love this setup as it is really aesthetically pleasing and nice.

The final setup of this week comes form @janaeallred. I really love this setup I think that it looks really good and well crafted. It is really well organised and really suits the room. The part that I really like is the light and leaves that are coming out of the wall. I think that it adds a lot more character to the setup which is important to make sure you include in a well organised setup. Sometimes character can get lost in really organised setups and make the setup feel forced and don’t work well. Even though this setup looks like a work of art and not used by the user I think that janaeallred has worked well to add in her own little flares and life into the setup to make it not just a piece of art and more of her own personal work space.
